Present position

CEO and chief consultant in Integrated Health Management Foundation (IHMF) which is a nonprofit oriented charitable organization incorporated under section 8 of companies act 2013 with an objective to improve the health-related quality of life of the people in the community.

Established an integrated Filariasis Treatment Centre-a first of its kind Hospital in Gajwel, of Siddipet district in the state of Telangana, South India exclusively for the management of filariasis patients of Telangana and neighboring states.

Committed for the people suffering from the most disabled, neglected and stigmatized disease known as Filariasis or Bodha Kalu(in Telugu ) and dedicate ourselves for reducing the disability these patients who are the bread winners of the family .

Previous positions

Worked as Principal at a truly multidisciplinary center — The Institute of Applied Dermatology (IAD) Kasaragod in Kerala, ( www.iad.org.in )South India from the time of its inception (1999) and was part of the mutually oriented multi-disciplinary team of doctors who developed an integrative protocol for the treatment of lymphoedema (Lymphatic Filariasis). This work led the team to develop integrative treatment (Ayurveda, Yoga and Homoeopathy with modern medicine) protocol also for Psoriasis, Vitiligo, Lichen planus and Chronic wound.

Instrumental in developing the organization from the level of a CBO (community-based organization) to the level of a true global organization with international repute within a period of 5 years (1999 to 2005) along with Dr S R Narahari

Initiated the patient counseling system to improve the treatment concordance, dynamic cost calculation tools to facilitate funding for the free treatment, conceptualized and implemented the major pilot project on LF treatment with AYUSH funding in Gulbarga and Alleppey.

Basically, a medical practitioner trained in homoeopathy system of medicine, with a background in agriculture. Has hands on experience in treating more than 4000 lymphoedema patients coming from 23 Indian states and 6 countries. 19 years of experience in rural clinical practice and 16 years in integrative dermatology at IAD.

Experience in conceptualizing, writing, budgeting and executing the research projects till publication. Recruiting, Induction training and managing the multy disciplinary research and intervention team for both community dermatology and clinical dermatology areas.

Apart from the position of a researcher, held various position as principal administration and communication, involved in fund raising and guiding various community development projects on HIV/AIDS and CHILDLINE.

Successfully developed and implemented HRM in the organization with written policy for performance-based incentive with KPI (key performance indicators).

Independently developed the website for IAD and initiated server enabled data protection system which is considered as the foundation for big data analysis.

Has published 18 research articles along with the team, presented more than 30 papers in various seminars and symposiums and also coauthored several research papers on Lymphoedema and integrative treatment.

Has traveled extensively nationally and internationally to attend the conferences and workshops on Lymphoedema, wound management and in fund raising programme as speaker.

Independently organized 5 National seminars on Evidence Based and Integrated Medicine for Lymphatic Filariasis, other Chronic Dermatomes and HIV/AIDS during 2005, 07,08 ,09 and 2011 in Kasaragod
